Comunicado del cardenal Juan Sandoval Íñiguez por el que exhorta a la Fundación Pro-Construcción del Santuario de los mártires, AC a devolver 30 millones de pesos aportados por el erario público del Estado de Jalisco para obras de “turismo religioso”.
Arquidiócesis de Guadalajara.
Como Pastor de esta Iglesia de Guadalajara, estimo que la paz y la concordia en la sociedad deben estar por encima de cualquier otra cosa.
Por tal motivo, y tomando en cuenta las inconformidades que se han dado a propósito de los recursos que el Gobierno del Estado de Jalisco aportó para la construcción de la obra de caridad del Santuario de los Mártires de Cristo, le pido a la Comisión de Finanzas de la Fundación Pro-Construcción del Santuario de los Mártires, A.C., que considere la posibilidad de devolver dichos recursos.
La armonía y la caridad cristianas forman parte importante del Reino de Dios, que el Señor nos manda buscar en primer lugar (Mateo 6,33).
