Me acabo de enterar que el Vaticano anunció el nombramiento por parte del Papa Benedicto XVI de nuevos obispos auxiliares para Guadalajara.

El papa Benedicto XVI nombró nuevos obispos auxiliares para Guadalajara a José Francisco González González y a Juan Humberto Gutiérrez Valencia, informó hoy la oficina de Prensa del Vaticano.
A González González, que es vicerrector del Seminario Menor de Guadalajara, el Papa le asignó la sede histórica de Feradi Maggiore; mientras que Gutiérrez Valencia, hasta ahora canónigo y rector de la catedral de Guadalajara, recibió la antigua sede de Giunca di Bizacena.
José Francisco González González nació en Yahualica, en el estado de Jalisco, el 17 de marzo de 1966, y tras realizar estudios en el Seminario arzobispal de Guadalajara fue ordenado sacerdote en 1995.
Se licenció en Derecho Canónico en la Universidad de la Santa Cruz y en Teología Bíblica en la Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana, ambas en Roma.
Ejerció como párroco en varias iglesias, fue profesor en el Seminario Mayor de Guadalajara y actualmente es también abogado del Tribunal interdiocesano.
Por otra parte, Juan Humberto Gutiérrez Valencia nació en Guadalajara el 27 de junio de 1941 y fue ordenado sacerdote en Roma el 2 de diciembre de 1967.
En 1968 se licenció en Teología y en 1971 en Historia de la Iglesia en la Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana de Roma.
Fue profesor del Seminario, vicario parroquial, capellán de algunas casas de religiosas, y miembro del Consejo presbiterial encargado de la formación de los diáconos permanentes.
