Todas las grandes religiones del universo, incluido el islam, el judaísmo y el cristianismo predican la tolerancia, señaló Karen Armstrong, una renombrada estudiosa de las religiones del mundo.
Armstrong afirmó que ofrece conferencias sobre; ‘La tolerancia en el Islam’ y ‘Choque de Civilizaciones: Mito o realidad’, en el Centro de Convenciones de Jinnah en Islamabad (Pakistán).
Armstrong quien ha escrito muchos libros incluyendo el famoso "Una historia de Dios; 4000-Años del Judaísmo, el Cristianismo y el Islam" obra que fue un best-seller durante más de un año.
En sus conferencias, Armstrong puso de relieve las cuestiones que se encuentran en el núcleo del debate actual sobre el conflicto y malentendidos entre los musulmanes y las sociedades occidentales y la importancia de la tolerancia para el cierre de la brecha entre las civilizaciones.
