A Cuban dissidence we like to think that the main advocates of our cause in the world is the government of the United States.

How wrong we walk!

They say that a mistake has it either, but since the betrayal suffered in Bay Pigs,
has not been not a single action with facts to support the continuing dialectic of good wishes towards us and constant sentences tyranny which governs the island.

The treason in the Bay of Pigs
was more blunt, a betrayal of those who study youth cadets in military academies around the world, having been suffered by both military reputation as William Wallace, or Spartacus, to cite two examples.
Not only are forced landing in a buzzard (progress should be conducted by a narrow passage with swamps on either side), also withdrew air support that should protect that progress.

This betrayal dismantled in the medium-long term expectations of regaining democratic normality through armed, given the psychological impact that had the betrayal and defeat among the supporters of this path.

The entrenchment of dictatorship after the Bay of Pigs defeat, confirmed in turn strengthening the measures taken against American companies and interests on the island, which led to the entrepreneurs who had maintained interests in Cuba, to seek new horizons and business opportunities in countries nearby, with characteristics similar to the Cuban.

Little by little companies that had operated in Cuba went to lie in other Caribbean islands, as well as in Florida, operating sectors that had operated in Cuba (snuff, alcohol, food, tourism, etc..) Operating in turn many occasions with the same trademarks, including labeling products as of Cuban origin, in breach of the formative international designations of origin under the exile of the brand, company and employer.

These same companies, from the moment they saw their businesses flourish elsewhere, begin to observe with concern the possible arrival of the island to a normal democratic, that certainly at least eliminate the alleged Cuban origin of their products, because these lose the status of "exiles" as well as the predictable arrival of similar products at a better price.

By logical fear that companies in another time settled in Cuba, is added the fear of new businesses, under the changing needs of our society have been based in havens like Florida weather, as well as others, which established at any other point in the U.S., can do with fear that their customers can enjoy the services they provided at a much lower cost, including further in price, a small travel and vacations in the Caribbean.

I refer to the geriatric care (thousands of Americans will live to Florida after his retirement) and that the surplus of doctors created by the dictatorship could suggest that these services will provide much cheaper than in private clinics U.S. and by professionals who, despite their lack of means, have been carved pulse to a good international reputation.

Everyone knows the pressure of U.S. companies in relation to defend their interests against their government, in fact, that is what neo-liberalism, to govern for business interests.

Together with all this, President Bush is trying recavando or recavar among its Western partners, a financial aid to offset the high costs to U.S. arrival from Cuba to the democratic community because despite the pressure relief posed the 20 thousand visas granted annually and informative cap being put on the inhabitants of the island, is clearly insufficient to curb the widespread discontent among young Cubans, who see the years pass, without giving effect to its most basic expectations . It shows knowledge of this discontent, is that long ago that the dictator Raúl Castro often resort to acts of military his faithful army protected with a pretty bulletproof vest.
Two data me are the most revealing as to the daily tasks of the U.S. Government regarding the restoration of democracy in Cuba, the first trip is the (private), a senior official of the Spanish social security (military and commercial partner United States), specifically the director of the Hospital Gregorio Maraón, Madrid, to save in extremis (counting possibly the most high-tech U.S. online), the life of dictator Fidel Castro. It seems to me unlikely that the trip took place without the consent of the Spanish Government and without the blessing of the U.S. government, given the level of official and international repercussions that could take such action.

The second is the subsidy granted by the USA Government to Cuban dissidents (70 to $ 80 million), a ridiculous amount compared with other hundreds of millions to humanitarian causes other than the American population cares very little, if ridiculous think of the hundreds of thousands of Cubans and descendants that political pressure the Government to take action. Most of this grant is intended to finance Radio and TV Marti, a radio station that almost anyone can listen and a TV that nobody sees.

I wonder what is the substantial difference regarding the behaviour of dissident journalists on both sides of the Straits of Florida. On one side are silenced and locked in a prison in another are put to work in a Radio that almost nobody listens and nobody sees a TV. But in times of elections the U.S. president very often meet with some dissidents to give them a pat on the back and a word of encouragement.

There is no need to be a genius of mathematics, or possess a sophisticated calculator to assess the costs for the United States of a possible influx of Cuba to the democratic community. On the one hand it is easy to assume that an opening would lead to economic Cubans residing multiply remittances to repair their homes, or possibly to purchase a second home in their homeland. The economic impact of construction in Cuba would not go much beyond that strong capital flight that this would mean for the United States. However, the movement in the sector would generate no less than 1,000,000 of well-paid jobs on the island, becoming a powerful economic engine.

It is predictable that trade also increased significantly pushed for a more fluid tourism and higher quality, in addition to the significant and predictable increase in the purchasing power of Cubans on the island. These undoubtedly attract a large supermarket chains and encourage small businesses to establish specialized shops. Much of the sales in shops Cubans would be detrimental to sales in U.S. territory.

In the industrial sector is expected arrival of Pim that provide services to the construction and tourism. This is also foreseeable that the widespread demand for vehicles and lower cost of labour, attracted some multinational sector, with hundreds of auxiliary enterprises involving the installation of a plant construction vehicles. The same could be said of other sectors that have been delocalized in the U.S. (textiles and shoes.) Which could see at least for the time being in Cuba the same opportunities of other countries around it.

Cuba and was once favourite destination of tourists from the United States and should not have trouble again and so would not be strange that they could go to Hotels today semivacíos remain almost the whole year, generating a new turn small businesses, bars, restaurants, beach bars, etc.., which would complement the entertainment company generating the same job offer. Tourism is like any other business, if given the same, better, cost-effective tourists change their destiny.

Licoreras tobacco companies and should return to Cuba at least if it intends to retain the designation of origin on their Companies injecting sufficient technology to modernize both in technology and in product quality. It was to recognize that a lot of excitement that makes them our friends who carry them (real) Cuban rum, its flavor and meaning has degenerated to fit between the disinfectant and kills rats. Something similar could be said of snuff, unless you're a good craftsman you what confeccione "to the measure."

So far, so entails costs for the United States, believe that costs are perfectly acceptable even in these times of economic recession.

The case of tens of thousands of Cubans, who enjoy a pension in the United States, as well as U.S. citizens who could go out and live their old age in Cuba, involves a cost much more difficult to assume therefore that pensions are paid or not revert a penny to the U.S. administration. The large surpluses of health personnel, undoubtedly, would lead them to unite in small companies or cooperatives for a low-cost investment to provide good price to these and other services very expensive and defendants in American society.

As we see the story does not go as the tyranny, and silent and then gives the U.S. government. Not much is going or what might draw the United States from Cuba. The story goes exactly the opposite.

For all these reasons, and many other reasons, is of interest to maintain the highest possible time the Big Lie on both sides of the Straits of Florida.

Then another text that also questioned the loyalty of governments toward the American people and the Cuban Democratic

Is Square "the Fund" Washington-Havana? "U.S. should initiate steps, with looks to lift the embargo," says the Council on Foreign Relations.

For Aldo Rosado-Tuero, Director of New Action
Submitted by Casa Cuba, Houston, Texas
www.casacuba.org

The regular readers of New Action, know that we have referred many times to powerful Council on Foreign Relations, or CFR, for its acronym in English, which many scholars regard as the true government of this country and other more conservative, what qualifies as one of the agencies that have more influence in decision-making of U.S. governments, without making any difference what the party is in power. They also know that the influence exerted within the CFR David Rockfeller, the powerful tycoon, close friend of Fidel Castro.

Now the Council once again call attention to those who live immersed in the Cuban issue since recently created a task force or task force to deal with the role they must play the United States in the americas America and have just published its findings. And as almost always happens with the Council on Foreign Relations, this time re-emphasize the need for a settlement with the tyranny of Fidel Castro, now extended to Venezuela, ruled by the gorilla Hugo Chávez.

Reading the recommendations and knowing the background of those who make them, the suspicion arises that "since the box is square" and only needed to take possession of the new administration that will govern this country for the next 4 years, and that's why " raulato "is so bent on preserving the status quo at any cost and extended until January next year.

According to them: "The Council on Foreign Relations established a task force to evaluate the changes and the impact of changes in U.S. policy toward Latin americas .... We found that although the usual and long position on trade, democracy and drugs, remains relevant .... is inadequate and recommend that policy re frame around 4 critical areas-poverty and inequality, public security, migration and energy security-which are the most immediate concern to the rulers and citizens americas America ".

According to the CFR: "The americas America is not to miss Washington or salve ... The U.S. policy can no longer assume that based on the United States is the largest foreign player in americas America. If There was an era of American hegemony in the americas America, and that was over. "

And continued: "The americas America has benefited greatly in recent years of democratic openness, economic stability and steady growth "........ The makers of U.S. policy must change the way they think of the region ....... The Task Force also recommends: "Use multilateral institutions to manage domestic and foreign policies towards Venezuela and open formal and informal channels of communication with Cuba." "The U.S. should initiate steps, with looks to lift the embargo."

We insist: Friends of castrati within the circles of power in this country are powerful and are very well placed. The Cubans will be free, the day we decide to give it the kick at the table where the great interests play with our destiny and assume the task of directing our own destiny, without having false friends.

Note by the club of friends Mali:
Will any of these degree thesis or both? We do not know. Only we know that the High Politics and power can be extremely intricate, occurring and unexpected: fair or unfair. Anything can happen in power and politics. Only depends on relationships, influences and interests, at worst, it is always possible and the role it can play men more or less honest individual. The words visible may therefore go on the one hand and the facts invisible on the contrary. For now, continue speculating, continuing doubts. There are still many classified files, both in the United States, as in Cuba in Cuba-all-clear on relations of the two countries. It will take years to become known and reach specific conclusions and unobjectionable. For now, I prefer to believe that this is not true, that the United States of americas are great friends in the world, the Cuban people and the Democrats. I firmly believe and even death in the law principle that everyone is innocent until proven otherwise, but not aware that any day I receive confirmation fraught with a great surprise, good or bad.
